About
I was brought up in South East London on a healthy diet of Roald Dahl books, British sitcoms and Monty Python films. Along with my two younger sisters, I embarked on many epic adventures. These included:
‘The Axe Murderer and the Shrinking Spider‘
‘The Great Smoking Twiglet Swindle’
and not forgetting…
‘The Girls World and The Puddle of Shame’
Imagination has always been escapism and entertainment for me. I’m attracted to the socially awkward and surreal in ordinary mundane interactions. My observations provide me with endless inspiration for stories and illustrations.
I studied Illustration at Kingston University, graduating in 2007 and have illustrated for music festivals, greetings cards, in shop windows and even on a van once!
Creating colourful characters with humour, I want to illustrate stories that are inclusive, make an emotional connection and deal with issues that are important to children. Most of all I want my work to be enjoyable and fun!
When not drawing I am probably lost in the woods or a museum, searching for castles or watching murder mysteries with Basil the cat and Rob the human.
You can keep up to date with my work on instagram.
If you have a project you’d like to discuss do get in touch!
